Dr. Heather Kornmehl
Dr. Heather Kornmehl joined Texas Skin Center in 2024 and brings with her a deep passion for patient-centered dermatologic care. She is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Kornmehl earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her Dermatology residency training before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery. This highly specialized, tissue-sparing technique offers a 95–99% cure rate for skin cancers such as Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma, while achieving outstanding cosmetic outcomes.
At Texas Skin Center, Dr. Kornmehl treats all conditions of the skin and nails and provides expert surgical removal of skin cancers. She also brings experience in clinical research, public speaking, and patient education.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Kornmehl enjoys time with her husband and children, exploring the outdoors, and discovering Houston’s vibrant culinary scene. She’s also active on TikTok and Instagram, where she uses her platform to engage and educate followers on skin health, treatment options, and the latest in dermatologic care.
